Inihka'simi IITSSPIPIITAKII – "Old Woman Amongst a Crowd"
Blackfoot Culture Heritage Educator / Naturalist | Activist | Cultural Heritage Specialist
I am a proud member of the Blood and Blackfeet Tribe, raised from the Lone-Fighters Clan. As a Blackfoot Culture Heritage Educator, I am committed to preserving and sharing the traditions, language, and wisdom of my people. My dedication to natural history, cultural heritage, and education informs my work as a Naturalist and Cultural Heritage Specialist. I also lead RealBlackfoot, providing expert consultation to businesses and educational institutions focused on cultural comprehension, heritage preservation, and tailored programs.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic and Biological Anthropology at the University of Montana, I integrate scientific knowledge with cultural understanding to promote inclusion and community building. Through my roles as an activist, educator, and community leader, I aim to help individuals maintain their cultural identity while navigating the challenges of a modern society that often feels foreign to our traditions.
While I work to become fluent in the Siksikaitsitapi language, I balance my cultural responsibilities with academic, professional, and personal growth. The Missoula community, home to Blackfoot and many Niitsitapii, is where I strive to create opportunities for cultural dialogue and connection. My journey is driven by a deep passion for education, activism, and building stronger communities that honor and respect the diverse backgrounds that make us whole.
